HTX Will Support BTM Mainnet Upgrade

Dear Valued Users,

The BTM (Bytom) mainnet upgrade will commence at block height 709,660, with a system snapshot taken at around 23:15 on Aug. 19, 2021 (UTC), according to the official plan.

HTX will support the upgrade and provide asset migration services. After the upgrade, the new token is still named "BTM," while the current one will be rebranded as "BTMC." We will update all users about BTMC's status based on the upgrade progress by the BTM team.  

The following arrangements are made to protecting users' assets by reducing trading risks brought by market volatility during the mainnet upgrade:

I. Suspension of Deposits & Withdrawals on the Current BTM Chain

We will suspend deposits & withdrawals on the current BTM chain at 14:00 on Aug. 19, 2021 (UTC). Please allow yourself sufficient time to complete your deposits and withdrawals before the suspension. We will make a further announcement when the deposits and withdrawals are ready to resume. 

II. Suspension of Loan Services for the Current BTM Chain 

We will suspend the loan service for BTM in Margin trading and Crypto Loans at 03:00 on Aug. 19, 2021 (UTC). Please settle your loans before the suspension. 

We will make a further announcement when the service is ready to resume. 

As the upgrade may come with dramatic price fluctuations that may lead to assets liquidation, we advise you to make prudent, informed decisions based on your risk capacity.  

III. Suspension of BTM Asset Transfer

The BTM asset transfers between Parent and Sub-account of Coin-margined Swaps, and between Exchange and Coin Swaps account are scheduled to be suspended from 23:10 on Aug. 19, 2021 (UTC) (5 minutes before the snapshot), and to be resumed at 23:25 on Aug. 19, 2021 (UTC) (10 minutes after the snapshot). The specific time may vary according to the time for block height of 709,660. Please increase your margin in advance or close your positions timely to reduce liquidation risks.

IV. BTM Assets & BTM trading Will Be Unaffected

Users' BTM assets and BTM spot/futures trading will not be affected during the upgrade. Since the upgrade may come with dramatic price fluctuations, please make prudent, informed decisions based on your risk capacity.

Please Note:

• We will take snapshots of users' BTM holdings at block height 709,660, which includes Exchange accounts, Futures accounts, and Margin accounts (For BTM tokens that are borrowed but not repaid, the unpaid tokens will be deducted; the BTM interest that should be returned will also be deducted). The snapshot is expected to occur at 23:15 on Aug. 20, while the specific time will be base on the block height.
• Considering the complex operation for the migration process, we recommend you deposit BTM to HTX as early as possible. We will take snapshots and conduct token migration promptly based on the BTM official upgrade arrangements. The current BTM deposit address will become invalid during the suspension of BTM deposits (Please do not make any deposits during the upgrade. Otherwise, your assets will be lost). New deposit addresses will be generated after the completion of the mainnet upgrade. Please take the new one for deposits at that time.
