What Does TOP Network Do?

TOP Network is mainly committed to providing services for massive ordinary users, satisfying high-demand user experience, supporting cost-sensitive large-scale real business, and is the blockchain infrastructure of the Internet of Value.

Businesses such as Web3.0, GameFi, and Metaverse, which are very sensitive to transaction throughput, transaction confirmation speed, transaction fees, and user experience, are the core businesses in the TOP Network ecosystem.

To support these businesses, TOP Chain has built a powerful public chain with low cost, low entry barrier, and high throughput via a series of innovative technologies such as sharding and a three-layer network, which has strong adaptability and can meet the requirements of high frequency and real-time performance of the real businesses.

TOP Network’s Businesses

Web3.0, GameFi, and Metaverse are the core businesses in the TOP Network ecosystem. They all need to be able to support massive users and massive services concurrently, and these users and services require an experience close to a centralized system and low-cost or even free use. Therefore, a public chain with high throughput, high real-time performance, and low transaction and operating costs is the essential infrastructure.

TOP public chain meets the core needs of these businesses with a series of technologies such as innovative technical architecture and sharding and provides end-to-end infrastructure services to solve the problems of high investment in infrastructure, too long cycle, inability to interconnect, and threats to privacy and security.

Starting from 2022, the TOP team will successively build a series of related infrastructures including decentralized digital identity (TOP-DID) and NFT hosting platform (TOP-NFT) and provide unified specifications. These infrastructures can serve DApps or centralized third-party Apps, supporting both individual and enterprise customers.

The TOP team will fully utilize our technical advantages in the field of distributed communication and blockchain and improve the decentralized infrastructure for communication from the aspects of VPN, Messaging, and Voice to show the unique value of TOP Network.

Recent Status of TOP Network

Recently, TOP Network has mainly focused on three aspects: Improving basic performance, being compatible with Ethereum specifications, and achieving cross-chain circulation, to get ready for implementing the TOP business strategy.

At present, the optimization on the large cluster network composed of low-performance nodes has achieved the expected target, and the performance will be further improved via other methods in the future.

The goal of EVM-compatible shards is to be able to run smart contracts in the Ethereum ecosystem without modifying any code. In the end, TOP will support 3 kinds of virtual machines: WebAssembly virtual machine that mainly supports Web3.0, Ethereum virtual machine that mainly serves assets and NFTs, and Lua virtual machine that mainly serves the games.

In addition, the TOP team is developing a decentralized cross-chain bridge to enable the cross-chain free trading of assets between Ethereum, BNB Chain, HECO Chain, and TOP Chain. Meanwhile, TOP Network will continue to make an effort on DeFi, GameFi, and NFT to enrich the TOP ecosystem.
